Are you an experienced Product Development Executive, currently looking for a new and exciting opportunity?

Gillespie Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client, a global leading art supplies brand, in their search for a Product Development Executive!

You will work closely with the CEO; Resident Artists, Sales and Marketing Leads as well as our manufacturers, to build the foundations of a Product Development Department, establishing processes and procedures that will enable our client to get high-quality, high-demand products to market on a continuous cycle.

Main responsibilities:

• Assist in establishing then managing the end-to-end process, from concept through to delivery, with the support of the current team, ensuring the seamless delivery of products that resonate with our customers and align with our brand values.
• Lead on internal awareness/engagement and buy-in with all new processes to ensure joined-up communication and precise execution for new products which require a coordinated, cross-business approach to succeed.
• Ensure all technical files associated with current and new products, including LHAMA, SDS, Risk Assessments, are present and always correct, including establishing regular internal review procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance with external regulations.
• Project Coordination – support the smooth management of projects from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to critical path timelines (which you will help to establish) and successful completion.
• Contribute ideas to the creative product development process whilst simultaneously developing your understanding of all factors that influence this including but not limited to – market demand, financial feasibility, competition, logistics, quality).
• Market Research: Conduct market analysis and consumer research to identify gaps in the market and potential opportunities for new product development. Leverage insights to guide decision-making and product strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 year’s previous experience within a similar role. They must also have knowledge of product compliance regulations specifically in UK; EU and USA including import and export processes.
