Assistant General Manager

Salary: £26000 - £28000 p/a

Location: Felton, Newcastle

Job Type: Permanent

Are you working in hospitality and looking for a new challenge? Gillespie Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fabulous company, well established and recognised for their quality food and hospitality.

 

We are looking to recruit two assistant general managers for venues in Newcastle and Morpeth.

To be successful in this role you must be forward thinking, innovative, and results driven. A flare for creativity would be a bonus! Candidates will have –

  • Previous experience in a hospitality management role is essential (ideally wet and dry experience)
  • Excellent understand of legal requirements, EHO, Health and Safety and Licensing
  • Strong interpersonal skills – dealing with customers and managing a team will be a core part of the job.
  • Willing to get stuck in and lead the team by example – this is a hands on role and managers will be expected to be competent in all areas of the business.
  • Ability to stay cool and remain professional under pressure.
  • Natural problem solver with an eye for detail.
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Coaching and developing teams to deliver excellent standards and results
  • Controlling costs to deliver business profitability

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, will be a team player and will have the ability to lead by example.
