Commercial Director

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 pa DOE + commission

Location: Stockton-On-Tees

Job Type: Permanent

Gillespie Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for this exciting new role with our client, a leading player in digital expertise within the manufacturing sector.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Director to take the lead on sales and business development. The role is perfect for an energetic and ambitious person with experience in networking, building relationships, lead generation and business development.

As Commercial Director, you will be given responsibility from day one to move forward to strategically develop the business, by contacting potential customers and supporting them to make an informed decision based on their needs.

The successful Commercial Director will have –

  • Strong experience in a sales environment, potentially within software sector
  • Experienced in Supply Chain Management
  • Experienced in a B2B role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Proven experience and success in a consultative sales role are essential.
  • Team player mindset with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Contacting prospect database regularly to generate fresh enquiries
  • Generating referral business from an existing client and prospect database
  • Understanding the customer needs and presenting the right solution to achieve their objectives
  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude towards sales targets.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently.
  • Ability to generate cold business leads
  • Vast existing OEM Network providers

The ideal candidate will have –

  • Experience of selling software/solution-based products
  • 5+ years minimum proven sales track record
  • ERP / MRP (Desirable)
