We’re working with a respected residential care provider in Washington who is looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join their night team. If you’re compassionate, confident and eager to make a positive impact, this could be an excellent opportunity to progress your career.

About the Role

In this full-time night position, you’ll play a key role in ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable and well-supported. You will contribute to a calm and nurturing environment while supervising night staff to maintain consistently high standards of care. Additionally, you’ll help coordinate effective communication, uphold regulatory requirements and ensure residents’ wellbeing remains central to everything you do.

Your leadership will influence not only the quality of care but also the confidence and development of the team around you. As a result, this role offers both responsibility and the chance to make a meaningful difference every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place residents at the heart of care delivery, ensuring their wishes shape all support provided.

  • Supervise and guide night staff to maintain a compassionate and efficient service.

  • Promote and protect the wellbeing of every resident, responding swiftly to safeguarding concerns.

  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues, families and external professionals.

  • Support multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance residents’ quality of life.

  • Maintain accurate records and uphold all standards linked to regulatory compliance.

  • Lead by example, acting professionally and respectfully at all times.

About You

You bring a caring approach, strong communication skills and a passion for supporting older people. Although experience with medication management and CQC requirements is essential, your attitude and commitment to person-centred care are equally important.

You’ll also have:

  • Previous experience within a residential or similar care setting.

  • Confidence supervising staff and supporting a team.

  • A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • A commitment to ongoing training and professional development.

  • Willingness to work towards further role-relevant qualifications.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.90 for night shifts.

  • Supportive management and opportunities for career progression.

  • A warm, inclusive and values-driven working environment.

  • Ongoing training and development pathways.

Why Apply?

This is a rewarding opportunity to shape high-quality care while supporting residents through the night. Moreover, you’ll join an organisation that prioritises dignity, compassion and staff wellbeing. It’s an ideal role for someone who thrives in a supportive environment and enjoys leading others.
