Gillespie Recruitment is working with a specialist residential care provider to recruit Children’s Team Leaders for a brand-new multi-site children’s home supporting children and young people with complex mental health needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, values-driven leader to play a key role in shaping a new service, supporting both young people and staff to achieve their personal best — all while developing your own career.
Salary
Days: £11.56 per hour
Nights: £13.50 per hour

The role

Leading day-to-day shifts within a children’s residential home
-
Planning rotas and allocating duties to ensure safe, high-quality care
-
Supporting and supervising Residential Support Workers
-
Overseeing medication administration and required documentation
-
Completing audits and ensuring compliance with care standards
-
Acting as a positive role model, leading by example on shift
-
Supporting children and young people to make positive choices
-
Deputising for senior leadership when required
Essential experience
-
Experience working in a children’s residential care setting
-
Ability to support, guide and motivate a care team on shift
-
Good understanding of safeguarding and care standards
-
Confidence completing paperwork and supporting compliance requirements
-
Flexible, reliable and able to respond calmly to challenging situations
