Gillespie Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded care provider to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse for a nursing home in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is ideal for a confident Registered Nurse ready to take the next step into leadership while remaining hands-on and clinically involved.
You’ll play a pivotal role in leading the nursing team, maintaining exceptional care standards and supporting residents to live with dignity, independence and purpose.
The role

Leading and supporting the nursing team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care

Providing clinical leadership, supervision and guidance on shift
-
Overseeing care planning, medication management and clinical standards
-
Supporting staff induction, training and ongoing development
-
Ensuring compliance with NMC, CQC/CI standards and internal policies
-
Promoting a safe, positive and supportive environment for residents and staff
-
Balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical practice
-
2 days supernumerary time included within contracted hours
Essential experience
-
Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with a valid NMC PIN
-
Experience working in a nursing or care home setting
-
Confidence supporting and guiding nursing staff
-
Strong communication and organisational skills

Passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care
