Gillespie Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded law firm and is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Property Paralegal to join its Sunderland office.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Commercial Property team on a varied caseload including acquisitions and disposals, land development matters and commercial leases. Consideration will also be given to candidates with a strong residential conveyancing background who are looking to transition into Commercial Property, particularly those with a solid understanding of leasehold and freehold transactions.

The role

• Provide full administrative and transactional support to a Commercial Property Solicitor.
• Assist with acquisitions and disposals of commercial real estate.
• Support land development and commercial leasing matters.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and third parties.
• Maintain and progress cases using the firm’s case management system.
• Handle telephone calls with clients and third parties professionally.
• Support the smooth and efficient progression of transactions.
• Undertake general administrative duties as required by the team.

Essential experience

• Previous experience in Commercial Property or Residential Conveyancing.
• Strong understanding of leasehold and freehold transactions.
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills.
• Professional and confident telephone manner.
• Ability to work independently and manage pressure effectively.
• Good standard of English and Maths.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong commercial awareness.
• Adaptable to varying client and transaction requirements.
