The Opportunity
As a Family Law Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload of privately funded family matters from instruction through to conclusion. You will provide expert legal advice and compassionate support to clients navigating complex and sensitive family issues.
The role offers a varied workload, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued success and growth of the firm’s family law department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of private family law matters independently.
- Advise clients on:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial settlements
- Child arrangements
- Cohabitation disputes
- Domestic abuse matters
- Prepare and draft legal documentation, court applications and correspondence.
- Handle injunction and domestic abuse applications.
- Represent clients at hearings where appropriate.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Deliver exceptional standards of client care.
- Support the ongoing development and growth of the family law department.
- Maintain compliance with SRA regulations and internal policies.
About You
To be considered for this Family Law Solicitor position, you will have:
- Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales.
- Minimum 5 years PQE within Family Law.
- Strong technical expertise across a broad range of private family law matters.
- Experience managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- A proactive, professional and commercially aware approach.
- Advocacy experience (desirable but not essential).
- A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
