Gillespie Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing law firm and is looking to appoint an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join its Newcastle office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal with strong customer service skills to play a key role in the home buying and selling journey. You will work closely with Conveyancers, supporting transactions and ensuring clients receive a smooth and professional service throughout the conveyancing process.

The role
- Provide full administrative and transactional support to a Conveyancer.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties.
- Maintain and progress cases using the firm’s case management system.
- Issue sale contract packs and prepare sale reports.
- Obtain redemption statements and prepare draft completion statements and invoices.
- Undertake property searches and prepare completion packs.
- Prepare transfer deeds, SDLT and tenancy declarations.
- Handle client and third-party calls and visitors when the Conveyancer is unavailable.
- Support the wider team with general administrative duties as required.
Essential experience
- Previous experience working in a conveyancing or residential property role.
- Good knowledge of the conveyancing process from start to finish.
- Excellent customer service and telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Good standard of English and Maths.
