The Role
As a Litigation Executive, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of property litigation matters and providing practical, commercially focused advice to clients.
The role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of residential and commercial property disputes while building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of Property Litigation matters
- Advising clients on residential and commercial property disputes
- Handling landlord and tenant disputes
- Managing possession proceedings and eviction claims
- Assisting with boundary disputes, easements, restrictive covenants, and rights of way matters
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, witness statements, and court paperwork
- Conducting settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate
- Liaising with clients, courts, counsel, and external parties
- Delivering exceptional client care throughout the litigation process
- Maintaining accurate case records and compliance standards
- Supporting the continued growth of the litigation department
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within a Litigation Executive, Litigation Fee Earner, Paralegal, Legal Executive, or similar legal role
- Proven experience handling Property Litigation matters
- Strong understanding of landlord and tenant disputes
- Ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- High attention to detail and a professional manner
Desirable Experience
- CILEx qualification or working towards qualification
- Experience in both residential and commercial property disputes
- Knowledge of dispute resolution and mediation processes
- Advocacy experience
- Business development or networking experience
